Letting Go for the New Year

Letting Go for the New Year

Waning cycle of the moon - time to release and let go

What are you releasing during this current waning cycle of the moon? If you are new to working with the cycles of the moon, here is a brief overview. During the new moon and waxing cycle it is common practice to use that time as a time to set your intentions and wishes out to the universe.

Conversely, the waning cycle is a good time to release it all and let go of things that no longer serve you, such as doubts, worries, or any negativity holding you back. So here we are at the end of 2021 and we are in the waning cycle of the moon, almost like it was all planned out by God/the Universe/the Divine!

Putting aside the negativity and habits that no longer serve you can help open up and make new pathways for your deepest wishes to come to you in 2022! The new year starts off with a new moon (again, sort of a divine coincidence, don't you think?!) on January 2nd. So that means save your new year’s resolutions and turn them into new moon intentions on January 2nd and plant your seeds of intent with our magical cosmic timer: the moon!

***Bonus practice to boost your vibration!****

These last handful of days prior to the new year is a great time to celebrate and reflect on what you have as well as look at some of the old ways and old beliefs you can let go. Some easy ways to help you would be to do a meditation on gratefulness and all the blessings you have. Let one thought of something you are grateful for flow into the next while you relax and listen to some soothing music. Take 5, 10, 15 minutes or more with this exercise. If you are a fan of journaling, you can also sit and write a list of all the things for which you are grateful.
