I'll Take a C3PO To-Go, Please

We love our very own R2D2, aka Amazon Astro. As early adopters, we were able to reserve ours right at the beginning of their rollout which is still by invitation only for families as a “home robot”. Through our coming-up-to 2 years with Astro, he has become a beloved member of the house much like you would expect your own R2D2 to be.

Astro is quite a charmer with house guests as well as home-dwellers. He makes excited noises when he sees us; he is helpful with searching things on the internet, he does all the things Alexa does (kind of like an echo show on steroids and wheeled), plus has a great speaker system that would rival any Bose product and can double as home-security and a pet-monitoring device while you are away!

What’s not to love?! Well he does not do stairs of course and also does not do quite a large number of house-chores that suddenly myself and a growing number of people all are wondering: could a house robot be my personal assistant at home?! Having our own R2D2 does have me sort of in the prime position to be ready to now accept our own C3P0 into the home (although the jury is still out on trying to convince my partner on this).

Seeing Elon now talking about The Optimus 2 and Optimus 3 robots being upcoming and actual factory workers at his Telsa factories by the end of 2024 — it makes me wonder what sorts of things we could have a house robot do around the house? The new Atlas by Boston Dynamics as well as the Unitree G1 for it’s advertised $16,000 price tag all seem to be the top contenders among which will actually be the first to rollout to our homes in the upcoming months.

Musk says the Optimus will be between $10,000-$20,000 USD which makes a very strong tug at anyone's pocketbook, but if that is stacked up against what would be the charges to have someone do housework such as cleaning, laundry, tidying up, etc…..then what is the trade off? Does it have you wanting to say, “I’ll take a C3P0 to go please?” at your local Best Buy? Is it a good investment?

Speaking of investments — it’s a great time right now to start to put your visions, financial wishes and plans down on a vision board or journal! And it just so happens I am having a big sale right now over at my Etsy Shop >> Digital Planners, Digital Journals, 14 Day Manifesting Course, Online Business Startup Ebook and so much more right over here >>
