Winning at Waning - What to do during the waning cycle
Letting go during the waning phase of the moon’s cycle – I wanted to follow up on my last post and put some of my favorite ways of getting rid of the old cobwebs and stagnant vibes to make way for new, fresh, exciting things!
*Clean, declutter, organize your physical space. Whether it is starting with a room, an area, or even a corner or drawer – get rid of things that are clogging up the energy around your home/personal areas.
*Wipe, vacuum, and dust those areas you have just cleared out. This will help freshen the energy and let the good vibes start flowing. You may also consider using additional clearing methods such as a room freshening spray, using incense or sage, or burning some palo santo wood and wafting the purifying smoke around the areas of your space.
*Write down personal feelings that are holding you back and tear up, crumple up, and/or burn that page of paper (in a fire-safe, outside location preferably – use common sense and don’t create a dangerous situation as you’re trying to create something that helps you!)
*Take a piece of selenite, clear quartz, kyanite, shungite, or really any healing crystal or special stone (or even your hand can be used if you don’t have any of the above listed crystals) and cut through the air in front of you, cutting away the cords that bind you to things you are leaving behind. I like to think of cutting away imaginary strings and then sending the strings back to mother earth to be grounded back into the universe and recycled as something positive. What are some of your favorite ways of letting go? Anything that I haven’t mentioned please feel free to leave in the comments below to help others!
