Good Vibes!

Good vibes: how can we get more and what are "vibes" anyway?  You have probably heard the terms "good vibes" or "bad vibes" or if you are into the realm of metaphysics, you may have even heard of "raising your vibration". But exactly what are these vibes or vibrations that are trending in popularity, and how can we all get some more?!

 

Everything in existence has vibrational energy. In fact, it is said that everything is made up of energy. The vibration that goes along with places, people, or anything for that matter depends on a number of variables. Essentially, good vibrations, or good things, are typically considered "high vibe". So, if you are in a great mood and feeling good, you are considered to have a high vibe. This could also be said another way in that your energy and therefore vibration that you are putting out is good. 

 

If you are feeling a little low and drained but want to get to a place of higher vibrations, here are some things that you can do to instantly turn up the vibes and [hopefully] make you feel better!

 

  • Crank up your favorite up-beat songs! (bonus vibrational points if you dance or get some movement going!)

  • Do something nice for someone (either anonymously or go ahead and take credit - either way you are raising your vibrations as well as the vibes of the person you surprised - good vibes all around!)

  • Take several restoring, deep breaths and feel any negativity or anxious (low vibe) feelings exit your body as you exhale.

  • Grab your favorite healing crystals - they each have their own unique vibrations and can help pick you up if you are in need of a vibrational boost! You can wear, hold, or just be around them to gain their vibe-enhancing-benefits!

  • Do a favorite self-care practice! The sky is the limit, facemasks, eyemasks, foot soaks, long bath or shower. >> these are a couple of my faves that help me >>

  • Exercise! Even a short walk around the house if the weather is not cooperating can raise your vibrations.

  • Meditate! Even if it is only for 5 or 10 mins, it will impact your vibes in a positive way.
