STOP! And smell the flowers

Sometimes, you just have to stop and smell the flowers! Especially if you planted them. Recently, I purchased some beautiful flowers and when I went to put them in what I thought was an empty pot, I quickly discovered that the pot was full! Yep, it had a dahlia bulb growing beneath the surface of the soil. What a great metaphor for life. Sometimes, you just have to stop and realize that beneath the surface...a flower may be growing.

I changed my plan and, boy, am I glad I did. The picture you see here is of the most beautiful “dinner plate” dahlia. Even better....its colorful blossom matches the pot perfectly. Pot and blossom were meant to be, and so it shall be.

Whatever life may throw your way, be sure to stop....and take time to smell the flowers!
